Note: We have only tested this method on the Epic, but it should work for the Scarlet as well - Not sure if menus are the same though.

This method provides a solid sync signal at multiple framerates.

This method uses the Red cable "3BNC-TO-00 SYNC CABLE" available here - http://www.red.com/store/products/3bnc-to-00-lemo-sync-cable/790-0154

1. Plug the sync cable into the "CNTL" port on the camera.

2. Connect the yellow BNC on the Red Cable to the Technodolly shutter input. Center conductor is hot. (We bought a Red cable and made a dedicated sync cable for our rigs).

3. Go to the Epic menu - Settings/Setup/GPIO

4. Set the Epic Output to Sync Out; Set Sync to OFF.

The output will be the FPS effected by the Base Rate of the camera, so a camera set to a base rate of 23.98 and a frame rate of 24 will output 23.98 FPS.

Other Breakout Boxes that will work -

Wooden Camera "B Box" - http://woodencamera.corecommerce.com/B-Box-Epic-Scarlet.html

Spacecam "Sync Bob Plus"
